Computers designated Open Lab (or Open Usage) may be used for any purpose that does not violate University policy or state or federal law.
They may be used during breaks only. These computers are shared, so please limit your time.
Do not store data or files on these computers. They will be erased.
Computers not designated as Open Lab must be used for work-related purposes only.
You may not use these computers to:
* If you don't know if an attachment or link is work-related, you must contact IT support before opening.
Furthermore, you may not download or install software to any computer. Send an email to soiltest@uga.edu if you need software installed for work purposes.
Access to social media websites will be blocked on work computers.
As part of this policy, all Work computers will be monitored by lab coordinators. If you violate these policies, you may receive a reprimand, you may lose access to specific sites, or you may lose all Internet privileges.
