When Mehlich is complete:

  1. Proof these lab numbers:

They should contain all of the day's S1 sets.

  2. Read in any Arcos NINES files.
  3. If you were informed that different 9/19 samples were dipped,
edit the following lab numbers, and click Refresh:

When pH is approved:

  1. Save approved data for flagged sets..

Refer to pH Sheets instructions if needed.

  2. Run the Model.

The diagonal should be all green. If not, send a screenshot to Dr. Lessl for approval.

When everything is approved:

  1. Run h:\home\data\reruns.
  2. Move completed soil emails to the soiltest Sent Items.

Dr. Isaac comment regarding high Mn checks: "Mn easily oxidizes when the soil is dried. When the dry sample is exposed to air, it slowly oxidizes."

If doing a rerun comparison for the current day's run:

  1. In the 9/19s section, make sure the original run appears first.
If it doesn't, rename the rerun file in H:\Icap so that it comes alphabetically after the original file.
  2. Send to the group as a response to Daily Soil Approval.
  3. Wait for approval, and move the unapproved file to H:\Icap\raw.

If doing a rerun comparison for a previous day's run:

  1. Place all runs and 9/19s for the Set under H:\Icap. (Archived files are in H:\Icap\raw.)
  2. Move all other sets to H:\Icap\temp.
  3. Run http://aesl.ces.uga.edu/soil/reruns.htm.
  4. In the 9/19s section, make sure the original run appears first.
If it doesn't, rename the rerun file in H:\Icap so that it comes alphabetically after the original file.
  5. Send to the group as a response to Daily Soil Approval.
  6. Move the rerun file to the appropriate archive in H:\Icap\raw.
  7. Move any sets under H:\Icap\temp to H:\Icap.
  8. When approved, read in the the approved datafile, and date the set if the Model is clean.
  9. Let the IT group know the set is dated.
  • If there is missing data or there are errors with lab numbers, work with Gary to correct.
  • All files in H:\Icap must be for the same day's analysis. Move files for other dates to a temporary location when reading in data.
