  1. Output all samples and parameters per batch.
    Delete samples only if they have been rerun due to errors.
  2. Do not edit any parameter values.
    However, you may edit QC IDs and Sample IDs to correct typos.
  3. Prefix lab numbers with a Sample ID.
    Example: AW1234
  4. Add ".1" to duplicate lab numbers.
    Example: AW1234.1
  5. Add "D" to the Sample ID and QC ID for dilution runs.
    Examples: AWD1234, BLANKD
  6. Exclude spaces in Sample IDs and QC IDs.

  7. Run a blank prior to dilution runs.
  8. Be consistent in the spelling of QC Samples.

  9. Apply the Undiluted Run Factor to the undiluted run.
    See Table 1.
  10. Do not apply factors to the diluted run.
  11. For the diluted run:
    If these are Specials or Animal Wastes, or the diluter is not applying a 10-fold dilution,
    add a hyphen and the total dilution factor,
    including digestion/extraction, after the lab number.

Exceptions

S1-Routine and S1C-Cast do not get a Sample ID.
