The equipment, reagents, standards, autoanalyzer solutions, procedure and quality control are the same as those specified in the soil analysis method for extractable chloride, pages 37-41, with the following exceptions:
- Extraction - step 1 - Weigh 100 mg plant tissue into a 25X200 mm test tube.
- Standards - step 2 - 100 ppm chloride standard is eliminated.
- Standards - step 3 - is changed as follows:
- Pipet the designated volumes of 1000 ppm chloride standard into 100 mL volumetric flasks. Dilute to volume with deionized water and mix well.
