REAGENT
- Hydrochloric Acid: HCl
PROCEDURE
- Weigh 1 g sample into a 150 mL beaker.
- Add 2-3 mL deionized water in order to wet the sample.
- Add 30 mL concentrated hydrochloric acid.
- Cover with a watch glass.
- Place on a hot plate and heat until boiling.
- Allow to cool and transfer into a 1 liter volumetric flask.
- Dilute to volume with deionized water and mix well.
- Do an additional 1 to 10 dilution using the Hamilton digital diluter.
- Analyze the 1 to 10 dilution on the ICP using the WATER matrix.
